A little bit about Eric

Dear Friends and Family,

Eric was severely injured in a motorcycle accident while on his way home from work. He is in the Intensive Care Unit at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He is in very critical condition with severe head and facial injuries.

He is in a coma and the neurosurgeon does not yet know the extent of any permanent brain damage. At this time, we do know he suffered bruising and some bleeding in his brain. They performed a tracheotomy and have him on a ventilator.

According to the neurosurgeon, he has no signs of brain swelling at this time but the next five days are critical and things are touch and go for his survival. We are all praying very hard for his survival.

We ask all of you so inclined to please keep Eric in your prayers.

Fortunately, he was using all the correct gear including a wrap-around helmet. His other injuries are relatively minor and include a broken arm and a scrape on his knee and elbow. The ER trauma doctor said the helmet saved him long enough to get him to the ER

Eric or as most people call him Dopp, Has a love for Firefighting, Taking care of people with his Medical skills, Playing with Guns, Watching The Simspons, Playing jokes on people, And last but not least - Being there when you need a friend the most. It did not matter if you were stuck out of town, or if it was 3:00 am, If you needed anything, you could always count on Eric. Eric touched my life as I am sure he touched yours, and I wanted to do something to show how much I care for and need Eric back in my life. With the help of everyone at the station, I would like to collect photographs to add them to this page... Please enjoy the site
